Privacy Policy

• Account information: email address, username, display name, profile picture and bio.
• Content you create: the photos you upload, your TŌT questions and options, comments, likes, saves and follows.
• Votes and preferences: every vote you cast. TŌT records your voting and preference history to provide features such as results, rankings, Your Taste and Community Match.
• Activity data: notifications and activity records, such as follows, comments and results you are notified about.
• Identifiers: authentication identifiers, session identifiers and, for visitors who vote without an account, an anonymous voting identifier stored on the device.
• Usage and diagnostics: product analytics events (for example votes, views and feature use), error reports, and device/browser information such as browser type, operating system and whether the app is installed as a PWA. Like most web services, our infrastructure may also process IP addresses.
• Reports and feedback: content reports and feedback you submit.
• Local storage and cookies: we use browser storage for sign-in sessions, anonymous voting identity and app preferences.

• to operate the service: feeds, voting, results, comments, follows and profiles;
• to compute and display community results, rankings and Community Match;
• to keep the platform secure and to detect fraud, test or abusive activity;
• to moderate content and respond to reports;
• to understand how the product is used and to improve it.

We may also use aggregated or deidentified information for analytics, research, product development and business purposes where permitted by law. We do not sell your personal data.

TŌT uses analytics technology, including Google Analytics, to understand how the site and app are used: which screens are visited, device and browser information, how visitors arrive (for example referral and campaign information), and coarse product interactions such as signing up, voting, creating and sharing.

We do not send Google Analytics your email address, name, username, the text of your questions or comments, your uploaded images, your individual voting choices, or your Community Match data. Google Analytics receives only coarse product and usage information. Google’s own privacy policy governs how Google processes data it receives.

Your username, display name, profile picture, bio, the TŌTs you create, and your comments are visible to other people using TŌT. Your individual votes are not shown to other users; they are combined into community results and, for your own account, into features like Your Taste and Community Match.

TŌT is hosted on managed cloud infrastructure that provides our database, authentication, file storage and hosting. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the service.

We use access controls, row-level security rules and owner-scoped storage to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We keep account and content information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see below). Some information may persist in backups, logs or aggregated/deidentified form for a limited period, and aggregated voting statistics may be retained where reasonably necessary to preserve the integrity of community results.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of TŌT and its users. If TOT LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to exercise other applicable privacy rights. To make a request, contact us at dave@voteontot.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The current version date is shown at the top of this page, and material changes may require renewed acceptance.
